About Island Gold District: Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. Role Overview:

The Warehouse Labourer will be responsible for delivering daily samples to Wawa and providing other pick-up and delivery services as required.  Will also assist warehouse team with; shipping, receiving, and inventory counts, and other warehouse duties as required. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring the daily samples are delivered to Wawa from the mine site in a timely manner. 
  • Pick up mail daily and packages from local business as required  
  • Assist warehouse team with receiving, issuing, and shipping of parts and materials 
  • Assists with special projects in the warehouse  
  • Conducts cycle counts  
  • Operates forklift on a regular basis  
  • Follows established policies and procedures related to receiving parts and materials and complies with established methodologies and quality standards  

 

 

 

Qualifications:

  • High-school graduation  
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience,  
  • Basic knowledge of shipping and warehouse procedures and regulations required  
  • Must be able to work autonomously while exercising sound judgement 
  • Must have a valid Ontario G class drivers license 
  • Must be able to operate forklifts or other equipment as required.  
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather and conditions 
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate 

 

Working Conditions:

Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather and conditions.  This will be 7/7 rotation.

 

Physical requirements:

This is a physically demanding job where the incumbent is required to stand or sit for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects on a regular basis, do repetitive tasks with few breaks, and so forth. 

 

The schedule for this position is based in a camp operation working on an 7/7 rotation schedule with flights provided from Sudbury Toronto and Rouyn-Noranda. Pay or shift range: $41,250 and $73,750 CAD
