It addresses the challenge of efficiently coordinating and dispatching laboratory service orders to field personnel, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery to healthcare facilities. 2. About the Opportunity: The Lab Dispatcher plays a critical role in managing the dispatch of laboratory service orders to field staff. The position ensures orders are assigned and tracked promptly, facilitating smooth operations and supporting high-quality service delivery to client facilities. 3. Responsibilities: Dispatch all service orders to field personnel within fifteen minutes of order entry. Operate and utilize necessary tools including computers and communication devices. Ensure cases are dispatched, completed, and processed according to policies. Review, organize, and distribute cases based on coverage areas and staff availability. Track and follow up on all assignments throughout the shift to ensure completion. Prepare daily work assignments for phlebotomists and communicate updates during shifts. Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure case completion. Accommodate special requests, prioritize urgent orders, and maintain positive customer service. Provide detailed written documentation of issues and conduct troubleshooting or investigations as needed. Notify Dispatch Manager of issues beyond control immediately. Pursue self-improvement and adapt to changes. Assist with office duties during staffing shortages and contribute to reducing workplace stress. Handle high-volume calls from facilities, phlebotomists, and internal staff, supporting task completion. 4. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Proficient to expert use of Microsoft Office. Clear verbal communication skills for listening and relaying information. Ability to maintain focus in a busy call center environment. Remote work capabilities including a private workspace free from distractions. High-speed internet connection suitable for VoIP communications (fiber or cable recommended). Ability to pass the organization''s network performance test. Access to a PC capable of running required software (not a Chromebook). 5. Pay Range and Compensation Package: The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
