LA/Long beach port owner operator wanted

Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Owner Operator to join our dynamic logistics team at the LA/Long Beach port complex. This vital role involves managing your own commercial truck to handle freight transportation efficiently and safely within the port environment. As an Owner Operator, you will play a crucial part in ensuring timely deliveries, adhering to all safety regulations, and providing exceptional service to our clients. Duties Operate tractor-trailers and various commercial trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, across over-the-road (OTR) routes and local port deliveries Load and unload freight safely using manual handling techniques and proper equipment, ensuring cargo integrity Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to optimize routes within the port complex and beyond Transport hazardous materials and dangerous goods in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and hazardous materials regulations Manage delivery schedules by route driving, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs at designated port locations Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Conduct routine vehicle inspections, basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving with refrigerated trailers or flatbed trucks Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, and hazardous materials handling procedures Skilled in GPS navigation for efficient route planning and real-time adjustments during trips Ability to load & unload cargo manually or with equipment while adhering to safety standards Experience with truck loading/unloading procedures for freight including hazardous or dangerous goods Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailer operations for optimal control during deliveries Excellent driving record with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service excellence Join us as an Owner Operator at the LA/Long Beach port!
