Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Supermarket General Manager to lead our retail operations with enthusiasm and strategic vision. Responsibilities Lead daily store operations, including sales management, inventory control, and merchandising to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing retail sales team through effective employee orientation, coaching, and ongoing training & development Oversee staffing schedules, shift management, and payroll processing to ensure optimal coverage and operational efficiency Manage purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to maintain accurate inventory levels and reduce shrinkage Implement POS (Point of Sale) systems for smooth cashiering processes and oversee cash handling procedures with integrity Conduct regular performance evaluations, manage employee relations, and foster a positive team environment through strong managerial communication skills Maintain compliance with safety regulations, store policies, and health standards while ensuring excellent customer service at all times Skills Proven management experience within the retail industry, particularly in grocery or supermarket settings Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively and motivate staff toward shared goals Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping, inventory management, and operational procedures Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for daily financial transactions Effective negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing negotiations Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases Experience in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new employees, and managing payroll processes Knowledge of retail math including pricing strategies, sales analysis, and budgeting techniques Exceptional communication skills for staff training, customer interactions, and managerial reporting Familiarity with merchandising standards, stock stocking procedures, and inventory control techniques Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently using time management skills in a fast-paced environment Join us as our Supermarket General Manager to lead a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding shopping experiences.
