Description: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Accurately pick and prepare component parts according to work orders, pull sheets, and production requirements. Review daily dispatch reports to identify and prioritize kitting assignments based on production schedules. Gather and verify all necessary documentation, materials, and containers prior to beginning the kitting process. Properly receive, organize, consolidate, and put away component inventory in designated storage locations. Follow First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory practices and optimize storage space by consolidating or downsizing containers when appropriate. Verify part numbers, quantities, and locations to ensure accuracy throughout the picking and packaging process. Properly package and identify completed kits to maintain component integrity and ensure ease of use during subsequent production processes. Accurately document inventory movements, picking locations, discrepancies, and other required information on applicable forms and within the inventory management system. Review completed paperwork for accuracy and make necessary corrections in accordance with established procedures. Identify and communicate inventory shortages, discrepancies, damaged components, or other issues that may impact production. Transport and stage completed kits in designated production areas to support timely assembly operations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company housekeeping and safety standards. Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, as trained and authorized Collaborate with team members, production personnel, and management to maintain workflow and meet daily operational goals. Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and company objectives. Requirements: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in manufacturing, warehousing, inventory control, or material handling preferred but not required. Ability to read, understand, and accurately follow work orders, pull sheets, and written instructions. Basic math skills, including counting, addition, subtraction, and quantity verification. Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on inventory and order accuracy. Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing production demands. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn company inventory management software. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Forklift experience preferred; must be willing and able to complete company-required equipment training. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive hand movements. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance or mechanical lifting devices utilized when appropriate. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to typical industrial noise, equipment, and varying temperatures. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES: Conform to all Wayne Metals, LLC environmental policies, programs and procedures. Conform to all State of Indiana laws and regulations. Report any environmental concerns to supervisor, Environmental Management Representative, or the Plant manager.
