Kitchen Support Staff

Job Summary Taste of Thai is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Support Staff to assist in the preparation and cooking of authentic Thai cuisine. This role involves supporting the kitchen team in assembling curries, frying various foods, and ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about food preparation, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist in preparing ingredients for Thai dishes, including assembling curries and other components. Fry different foods as directed by the head chef or kitchen supervisor, ensuring proper technique and safety. Support the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness and organization of workstations and utensils. Follow food safety standards and hygiene protocols at all times. Help with basic food prep tasks such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients. Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks to contribute to efficient kitchen operations. Support inventory management by notifying supervisors of stock levels and replenishment needs. Skills Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, particularly related to Thai cuisine. Ability to follow instructions accurately and work efficiently in a team environment. Good communication skills and a positive attitude. Willingness to learn new skills related to cooking and kitchen support roles. Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety standards. Prior experience in a kitchen environment is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
