Job Summary : We are looking for someone excited to grow and learn in this Junior Purchasing Agent. We are happy to teach you everything you need to know to succeed! This role is perfect for someone who’s good with computers, enjoys shopping around for the best prices, and pays attention to details. Key Responsibilities : Research, compare, and purchase parts for vehicles while ensuring cost-effectiveness. Communicate with vendors to negotiate terms and ensure timely delivery. Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate part requirements and seamless workflow coordination. Keep detailed records of orders, prices, and inventory. Organize physical inventory of parts Use computers and online tools to track purchases and manage vendor relationships. Occasionally drive a company vehicle to pick up parts or visit vendors. Work closely with team members to maintain supply chain efficiency. Qualifications : Required : Strong organizational, communication, and note-taking skills. Comfortable using technology, computer-savvy, and able to learn new software tools. Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) or Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) . Ability to compare prices and make cost-effective decisions. Detail-oriented and methodical in tracking and managing tasks. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for part pickups (work vehicle provided). High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Skills and Knowledge : While not required, the following knowledge or skills would be beneficial for this role: Familiarity with automotive parts, systems, or repair processes. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Basic understanding of procurement, purchasing, or vendor management. QuickBooks proficiency preferred. Experience using inventory management or procurement software. Knowledge of the armored vehicle or automotive industries. Strong analytical skills for price comparisons and cost-effective purchasing. Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or inventory control. Compensation and Work Details : Hourly Rate : $20–$24, depending on experience. Hours : 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Training : We provide comprehensive, hands-on training in automobiles, armoring, and parts procurement.
