Junior Purchaser

Job Summary: Hennessey Special Vehicles is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to join our automotive manufacturing team in Sealy, TX. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of purchasing experience, strong cost-analysis skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role requires daily coordination with suppliers, internal departments, and production teams to ensure materials and parts are delivered on time and meet Hennessey's quality and production standards. Key Responsibilities: Providing a purchase order report to supervisors that indicates the invoice number for all closed orders Ensure all deliveries satisfy the assigned orders and report any back-ordered or missing products Maintain inventory levels and materials on a regular basis Effectively communicate with management team to ensure all orders are accurate Maintain and update purchase orders in QuickBooks; verify pricing, lead time, and delivery schedules. Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or discrepancies. Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to support build schedules and resolve parts shortages. Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory, and supplier communication. Identify cost-saving opportunities, process improvements, and supply-chain efficiencies. Work under pressure to support urgent production needs and tight deadlines. Strong teamwork mindset and ability to collaborate across multiple departments. Proficient in Microsoft Excel Education and Experience: 2-3 years of experience as a buyer Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration preferred High school degree or equivalent required Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs, as required.
