Junior Project Manager
South Essex FabricatingPOSITION SUMMARY The Junior Project Manager supports the planning and delivery of construction and facility projects from project kickoff through closeout. Working under the direction of the Project Manager, this role coordinates schedules, documentation, materials, site activities, and communication among internal teams, contractors, consultants, suppliers, engineers, and clients. This hands-on role combines office-based coordination with regular site visits. The successful candidate will be organized, proactive, safety-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Project Coordination Support the Project Manager with day-to-day project planning, coordination, and execution. Coordinate activities and information among Enqor and SEF teams, contractors, consultants, suppliers, engineers, and clients. Monitor progress, deliverables, and action items; identify risks and follow up on outstanding items. Attend project meetings, prepare updates and meeting minutes, and track assigned actions. Assist with resolving project and field issues, escalating concerns when required. Scheduling, Cost, and Procurement Support Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, milestones, and weekly work plans. Coordinate Enqor work with the overall construction schedule and anticipated labour, equipment, and material needs. Track material requirements, purchase commitments, lead times, and deliveries in coordination with Purchasing and suppliers. Support project cost tracking and identify schedule conflicts, scope changes, or potential delays. Site Coordination Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and confirm readiness for planned work. Coordinate with site supervisors, trades, and contractors regarding access, sequencing, and site requirements. Compare work against current drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Identify deficiencies, document site conditions, and follow items through to resolution. Assist with site measurements, deliveries, access, and workforce coordination. Drawings and Documentation Review drawings and project documents to identify discrepancies, omissions, or coordination conflicts. Maintain current drawings, specifications, and revision-control records. Prepare and track RFIs, change orders, site instructions, submittals, and deficiency lists as assigned. Maintain complete and organized project records, including meeting minutes, photos, approvals, and correspondence. Communication and Stakeholder Support Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams. Provide timely project updates and communicate changes, decisions, and priorities to affected stakeholders. Build effective working relationships and follow up consistently to keep projects moving forward. Health, Safety, and Quality Comply with Enqor safety policies, project-specific requirements, and applicable site rules. Report unsafe conditions, participate in safety meetings and inspections, and support corrective actions. Project Closeout Assist with commissioning, inspections, owner training, and project turnover. Track deficiencies and outstanding documentation through completion. Compile warranty information, as-built documentation, and other closeout records. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Post-secondary diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field is preferred. 1-3 years of experience in construction, project coordination, engineering, building systems, or a related field. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Microsoft Project, or comparable project management software. Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly to project sites. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
