Junior Operations Coordinator Job type: Full-time Pay: $42,500 per year, increasing to $45,000 after a successful 90-day review About MH Logistics MH Logistics is a freight forwarder and customs broker specializing in perishables, primarily live plant cuttings. We move time-sensitive, temperature-controlled cargo for growers and importers across the U.S., and our operations team makes sure that cargo is received, protected, processed and sent on its way accurately and on time. The Role We are looking for a hardworking, reliable Junior Operations Coordinator to help keep our daily operations running accurately and on time. You will coordinate incoming and outgoing international shipments, keep shipment records accurate, work closely with the warehouse team and drivers, and make sure perishable cargo is handled correctly. This is a hands-on operations role for someone who takes ownership of the work in front of them. Coordinators who show that ownership have a clear path to more operational responsibility as we grow. What You Will Do Shipment coordination Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments with the warehouse team, drivers and office team, including pickup and delivery requirements Monitor shipment status and make sure required information and documentation are complete Keep the operations team updated on shipment status and flag problems early Records and systems Verify shipment counts and condition against paperwork, and record exact arrival and departure times Enter receiving, shipping and inventory data in our logistics software Maintain accurate shipment files and keep operational records organized Cargo handling and compliance Make sure temperature-sensitive cargo gets the right handling, including ice pack changes and other special requirements Follow the handling, documentation and security rules for customs-bonded cargo Identify, photograph and document damaged or impaired merchandise Hands-on support Help with receiving, labeling, packing and preparing shipments when needed Support the warehouse team during busy periods so shipments are processed on time Drive a cargo van or delivery truck for occasional pickups and deliveries What You Bring Operations, warehouse or logistics experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong attention to detail and basic computer skills Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to help with physical warehouse work when required Familiarity with forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks is a plus Team player who solves problems instead of waiting on them Must be authorized to work in the United States Bilingual in English and Spanish is a strong plus Schedule Sunday to Friday, with day and night availability. Hours vary with international flight and container arrivals, and shifts may run until that day's shipments are fully processed, so there is not always a fixed end time. Saturdays and holidays are sometimes required when shipments call for it, especially during peak season. Growth Path We promote from within. Junior Coordinators who show accuracy, reliability, good judgment and ownership can move into Operations Coordinator and other operations leadership roles, with more responsibility for shipment management, customer communication, driver coordination and daily branch operations.
