We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Junior Logistics Coordinator in our Kingsville Corporate Office
The Junior Logistics Coordinator, under the direction of the Director, Supply Chain Management, will be responsible for supporting the facilitation of efficient transportation processes. This role will support day-to-day coordination of shipping and inventory movement to ensure products are delivered accurately and on time. Working closely with Logistics, Sales, Operations and Transportation Partners to schedule shipping, monitor deliveries and maintain accurate records.

Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate outbound and inbound shipments to meet customer delivery requirements
- Prepare and distribute shipping documentation, including bills, shipping manifests, and other transportation documents
- Monitor shipment status and communicate delays or issues to internal stakeholders
- Track freight movement
- Serve as a point of contact for carriers, warehouses, sales teams, and customers regarding shipment status
- Ensure shipping records are complete, accurate, and entered into the ERP
- Follow food safety, quality, and customer requirements when coordinating shipments
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to improve transportation efficiency
- Obtain delivery appointments for all customers to match delivery schedules
- Ensure all freight costs are cascaded and documented into FAMOUS software and internal documents
- Understands and complies with all Food Safety, Occupational Health & Safety and Operations policy and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- 1-2 years of logistics, transportation, customer service, or supply chain experience is preferred
- Experience in the produce or food industry is considered an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Familiar with Famous, transportation planning, or inventory software considered an asset
Working Conditions
- Work in a busy office environment with frequent interruptions
- Interactions with customers, employees, and management
- Sitting and standing for an extended amount of time may be required
- May be required to work overtime as needed
- May be required to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on deadlines
Compensation & Benefits
This position offers an annual salary range of $52,000.00 to $65,000.00, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, Red Sun Farms provides a comprehensive total rewards package, including health benefits, defined contribution pension plan, paid sick days, and other company-sponsored programs.
