Junior Carrier Sales Representative

OptiTranz is looking for a Junior Carrier Sales Representative to help grow our carrier network and keep freight moving. You’ll build relationships with trucking companies, book loads, negotiate rates, and solve problems throughout each shipment. We’ll teach you the business. You bring the drive to make calls, learn quickly, and follow through. The skills you will learn Find and vet carriers, then build relationships that deliver reliable service and competitive rates. Negotiate freight rates and accessorial charges. Match loads with carriers’ schedules to help reduce empty miles. Meet daily outreach goals and grow your carrier network. Confirm equipment, driver availability, appointments, and shipment requirements before booking. Communicate with carriers and drivers from pickup through delivery, resolve issues, and keep the operations team informed. Obtain proof of delivery and other required paperwork promptly. What you bring Confidence on the phone and strong communication skills. A competitive mindset and motivation to earn through performance. Attention to detail and the ability to manage changing priorities. Ownership of your work and a willingness to learn. Sales, transportation, or logistics experience is helpful, but not required. Compensation and benefits Base salary plus monthly commission based on loads booked. Estimated total annual income of $65,000–$100,000, depending on performance.
