Job Overview Acer Exhibits & Events is a full-service custom Trade Show Exhibit House located in Havre de Grace, MD. Our mission is to provide the highest level of innovative design, quality fabrication, and responsive customer service through creative solutions and effective systems for a very diverse client base. Our drafting team plays a key role in preparing drawings for fabrication and shipping, while managing multiple projects. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented a full-time IN-PERSON Jr CAD Technician to join our team. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in CAD software while contributing to innovative design solutions. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, collaborates well with team members, and is passionate about advancing their technical expertise in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of 2D and/or 3D AutoCAD. Possess skills to read and comprehend construction drawings, electrical lay-outs, and set-up drawings. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving capabilities. Demonstrate the ability to perform well under pressure or in stressful situations to meet critical time-sensitive deadlines. Job Responsibilities: Transforms initial exhibit designs into working construction drawings using knowledge of the latest AutoCAD software. Prepare set-up drawings according to specifications. Attend, as necessary, meetings or presentations to assist the design/production process. Interface with warehouse personnel to ensure they understand CAD prints. Interface with shop and warehouse management to ensure their needs are met. Maintain CAD department digital file system. Maintain Acer CAD department standards while ensuring adherence to established specifications and standards. Order CAD department supplies as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: Completion of secondary school and computer aided drafting courses or higher education. CAD Certification required or actively pursuing certification. Must have the ability to sit, stoop, kneel, and work in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time.
