Our Opening and Your Responsibilities As our Tactical Buyer, you will be responsible for executing daily purchasing tasks to support all activities related to procurement and overall operations. This position will provide the necessary materials to help drive our continued success and growth in a fast-paced environment focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. This position works closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, Engineering, R&D, Marketing, and Finance, and reports to the Procurement Manager. Your responsibilities will also include: * Managing assigned commodities to ensure that quantity, quality, and delivery standards are attained. * Placing and confirming daily purchase orders. Managing MRP Exception Messages including reschedules, expedites, and cancels. * Monitoring supplier performance to standard and coordinating corrective action. * Executing MRB disposition of non-conforming material with external root cause. * Working with Finance to resolve invoice-to-purchase order discrepancies. * Participating in and supporting lean processes that drive overall improvement. * Other duties as assigned. What You Need to Succeed * 2-3 years of procurement experience in purchasing/procurements small-to-mid volume electrical or mechanical components commodity in a high paced production environment. * Knowledge of MRP (DDMRP) and SAP. * Lean Management (Manufacturing) experience and knowledge is a plus. * Self-motivated, proactive, and persistent approach. This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.
