Jr Buyer
H-MartResponsibilities but not limited to: Execute assigned buying and procurement tasks with limited supervision, following established procedures and standards. Conduct routine sourcing activities, manage supplier relationships, and execute purchase orders to support operational needs. Utilize procurement/ERP systems and supplier portals to process transactions and maintain accurate purchase order data, supplier records, and contracts. Identify routine process issues, recommend practical solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Contribute to assigned procurement projects and recurring deliverables, ensuring timely completion of tasks and milestones. Prepare reports, summaries, and analyses to support procurement activities and decision-making. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather required information, align priorities, and support procurement objectives. Develop knowledge of sourcing, supplier management, purchase order execution, and applicable policies and regulations; document procedures and SOPs, and recommend workflow improvements as appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications / Skills: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in the food or wholesale industry preferred. Supply Chain Management experience is a plus. Knowledge of sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationship management. Experience with purchase order processing, contract administration, and cost analysis. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/procurement systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Knowledge of retail or grocery supply chain operations preferred. Proficiency in English, Chinese, or Korean is preferred.
