Jewelry Studio Assistant – Operations & Production

Job Summary We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Studio Operations & Production Assistant to join our team in Pepper Pike, Ohio. This hands-on role focuses primarily on daily studio operations, including receiving and processing customer samples, organizing orders, assisting with quality control, packaging, and shipping. You will also work closely with our jewelry artisan and assist with production-related tasks as needed. As our studio continues to grow, this position may offer opportunities to take on more jewelry-making responsibilities. No prior jewelry-making experience is required. Training will be provided. Key Responsibilities Studio Operations & Sample Management Receive, identify, register, and carefully organize incoming customer samples and jewelry materials. Prepare and process breastmilk, ashes, hair, and other memorial materials according to established procedures. Match customer samples with their corresponding jewelry settings and orders. Maintain accurate records and organized sample storage. Quality Control & Shipping Assist with final jewelry inspections to ensure products meet our quality standards and customer specifications. Photograph finished jewelry for quality control records. Carefully package finished jewelry, prepare shipping labels, and handle outgoing shipments. Monitor packaging supplies and assist with inventory organization. Production Support Assist our jewelry artisan with material preparation, jewelry assembly, and other production tasks as needed. Follow established production and quality control procedures. Gradually learn additional jewelry-making techniques through hands-on training. Workflow & Studio Organization Update order statuses and track progress using ClickUp (training provided). Maintain a clean, safe, and organized studio environment. Assist with other daily studio tasks as needed. Qualifications Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently. Good hand-eye coordination and comfort with detailed, hands-on tasks. Ability to follow established procedures and manage multiple orders carefully. Comfortable handling sensitive memorial materials, including breastmilk and cremation ashes. Basic computer skills, including email and data entry. Good communication skills and fluency in English; Mandarin is a plus but not required. Previous experience in order fulfillment, inventory management, crafting, or jewelry making is a plus, but not required. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Compensation & Schedule Employment Type: Full-Time Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week Starting Pay: $17/hour during the initial 90-day introductory period After Successful 90-Day Review: $18/hour Pay Schedule: Biweekly Benefits Health Insurance: Employer-sponsored health insurance, with 70% of the employee's individual premium covered by the company, subject to plan eligibility and effective dates. Paid Time Off (PTO): 7 days per year. Paid Sick Leave: 5 days per year. Paid Holidays: Company-observed U.S. holidays. Additional Paid Days Off: Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, and Lunar New Year's Eve, subject to studio scheduling needs. Work Location Pepper Pike, OH 44124 This is a full-time, on-site position. Remote work is not available.
