What you’ll lead You’ll oversee the complete inventory lifecycle, keeping people, information, and jewelry moving smoothly from acquisition to sale. Your responsibilities will include: Managing receiving, intake, documentation, tracking, and quality control. Maintaining accurate inventory records and chain-of-custody controls for high-value jewelry. Coordinating priorities and handoffs across departments. Leading physical inventories, cycle counts, reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution. Monitoring inventory aging, consignment inventory, sales activity, and workshop productivity. Maintaining reliable inventory data, reports, and operational insights. Identifying bottlenecks and implementing practical process improvements. Partnering with leadership to strengthen inventory controls and operational performance. What you’ll bring Prior jewelry-industry experience is required. We’re looking for someone with: 6 - 8 years of experience in inventory management, inventory operations, or retail operations. At least 3 years working in a jewelry store or jewelry business. Estate Jewelry experience puts you at the top of the list Previous management or leadership experience. Strong knowledge of inventory controls, receiving, reconciliation, and operational workflows. Experience handling fine jewelry and other high-value merchandise. Strong Excel and reporting skills. Experience with Magento/Adobe Commerce or a comparable inventory and e-commerce platform. Excellent attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to coordinate competing priorities. The confidence to establish clear standards and help teams work effectively together. Antique, vintage, or estate jewelry experience is especially valued. Graduate Gemologist credentials are a plus.
