Janitorial Worker

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Janitor to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and professional appearance of our facility. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing both our office and warehouse spaces. The ideal candidate has previous commercial cleaning experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently to ensure our environment remains welcoming for staff and visitors alike. Duties: Daily Facility Cleaning: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors across all designated office and warehouse areas. Surface Sanitization: Dust, clean, and sanitize office desks, reception spaces, conference rooms, countertops, and tables. Restroom Maintenance: Thoroughly clean, disinfect, and restock restrooms with necessary toiletries and supplies. Waste Management: Empty all trash cans and recycling bins throughout the facility daily. Window & Glass Care: Clean interior windows, glass partitions, and mirrors. Deep Cleaning: Perform monthly deep-cleaning tasks as assigned to maintain high facility standards. Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels for cleaning supplies and toiletries, reporting shortages to ensure seamless replenishment. Facility Oversight: Proactively identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or needed repairs to management. Experience: Experience: Proven experience in janitorial work and commercial cleaning is required. Autonomy: Strong ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and execute tasks with minimal direct supervision. Attention to Detail: High standards of cleanliness and a strong eye for detail to ensure no areas are overlooked. Physical Capability: Ability to perform physical cleaning duties, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting as required by the role. Equipment Proficiency: Ability to safely operate standard cleaning equipment. Professionalism: Positive attitude, strong work ethic, punctuality, and a reliable commitment to the Monday–Friday daytime schedule. Schedule: Part-Time: This is a part-time hourly position Monday through Friday (20-30 hours per week) ideally 10am-2pm Qualifications: Work Authorization Valid Drivers License Reliable Transportation Ability to undergo and pass a criminal background check Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week Experience: Janitorial: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) Ability to Commute: Indianapolis, IN 46218 (Required) Work Location: In person
