Italian Food Procurement Coordinator

Job Summary Varuni Napoli is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Italian Food Procurement Coordinator to support the purchasing and sourcing of food ingredients, kitchen supplies, and restaurant essentials. This role focuses on coordinating supplier orders, monitoring inventory requirements, maintaining purchasing records, and helping ensure that high-quality ingredients are available to support daily restaurant operations. The ideal candidate has strong communication and organizational skills, an understanding of food procurement processes, and an interest in Italian cuisine and restaurant supply management. Common Job Roles Italian Food Procurement Coordinator Restaurant Purchasing Coordinator Food Sourcing Associate Culinary Supply Coordinator Procurement Operations Specialist Restaurant Inventory Coordinator Key Responsibilities Coordinate purchasing activities for food ingredients, beverages, packaging, and kitchen supplies. Communicate with approved suppliers regarding pricing, product availability, and delivery schedules. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment based on restaurant requirements. Assist with sourcing fresh produce, cheeses, flour, pasta ingredients, sauces, and other Italian food essentials. Review purchase requests and help prepare and track purchase orders. Maintain accurate records of supplier information, purchasing transactions, and deliveries. Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and report discrepancies. Work with kitchen managers to understand ingredient specifications and quality expectations. Help compare supplier quotations and identify opportunities for cost-effective purchasing. Track delivery delays, shortages, and product substitutions, escalating issues when necessary. Support appropriate storage and inventory rotation for perishable and nonperishable products. Follow company purchasing procedures and applicable food safety requirements. Qualifications and Requirements Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory management, logistics, or restaurant operations is preferred. Knowledge of food ingredients and restaurant supply requirements. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and supplier coordination abilities. Familiarity with purchase orders, inventory records, and basic cost tracking. Proficiency with spreadsheets and standard office software. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet purchasing deadlines. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and management teams. Familiarity with Italian cuisine or specialty food sourcing is an advantage.
