Itad Technician

POSITION SUMMARY The ITAD Technician is the core production role within ARCOA's IT Asset Disposition operation, responsible for executing the full range of ITAD processing activities: receiving and routing inbound material, sorting and auditing assets, testing and grading equipment for resale, performing data sanitization and destruction, harvesting parts, and supporting outbound fulfillment. ITAD Technicians use Makor ERP and automated testing/auditing software to ensure every asset, part, and data device is accurately recorded, properly handled, and routed to its correct next destination. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ▪ Receive inbound lots: verify lot is scheduled in Makor before unloading; weigh and receive material by type into Makor ▪ Route inbound material to the correct next process based on lot type and Makor instructions ▪ Sort and audit materials at sorting station ▪ Perform asset management and testing ▪ Process parts ▪ Process data devices ▪ Support outbound fulfillment ▪ Handle nonconforming product ▪ Maintain all work areas per housekeeping standards and comply with all PPE, disassembly safety, and equipment safety requirements at all times QUALIFICATIONS ▪ Basic computer hardware knowledge and attention to detail ▪ Basic proficiency with ERP systems for data entry and transaction recording ▪ Understanding of data destruction concepts preferred ▪ Ability to identify common IT equipment: laptops, desktops, servers, tablets, printers, monitors, hard drives, and accessories ▪ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs continuously; comfortable standing for a full shift in a warehouse environment ▪ Reliable, detail-oriented, and production-focused; able to follow multi-step processes accurately under production volume ▪ Must be able to pass background check and substance testing to qualify as a NAID AAA Access Individual for certified data destruction areas ▪ High school diploma or equivalent required SUCCESS METRICS ▪ Weekly throughput: assets, parts, and drives processed vs. targets set by Team Leader/Ops Manager ▪ Makor entry accuracy: all lot weights, asset grades, and hard drive dispositions entered correctly and on time — target 99%+ ▪ Data destruction compliance: 0 data breaches ▪ Nonconforming product handling: 100% of NCPs identified ▪ Quality metrics: asset grade accuracy — target 99%+ COMPENSATION ▪ Salary Band: W2 │ $16.00–$18.50/hr ▪ Benefits: Paid orientation, paid training, monthly profit sharing potential, retirement plan – 401(k) with matching, paid time off, employee discounts, health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, health savings account, AD&D insurance, short-term disability insurance, group life insurance, paid holidays, Friday paid early release, paid parental leave, paid bereavement leave, wedding benefit, additional optional benefits also available Pay: $16.00 - $18.50 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
