ITAD Compliance Specialist

We're working with a fast growing technology lifecycle business that helps organisations securely manage their IT and electronic assets, from deployment and recovery through to remarketing, recycling and responsible end of life processing. With a growing international vendor network and customers who expect high standards of security, sustainability and compliance, they're now looking for a Compliance Specialist to take ownership of a key part of their compliance programme. The Role You'll primarily own Downstream Vendor (DSV) compliance and onboarding , while acting as the day to day backup to the Senior Manager. You'll assess vendor certifications, permits and supporting documentation against R2v3, ISO requirements and internal standards . This isn't simply about checking paperwork. You'll need to interpret requirements, use your judgement and make decisions you can confidently defend. You'll manage around 50 domestic and international vendors , oversee 100+ compliance documents annually, support customer due diligence and contribute to the development of the wider compliance programme. Key Responsibilities Own DSV onboarding, compliance reviews and ongoing documentation. Interpret and apply R2v3, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 requirements. Assess vendor evidence and make approve, reject or escalate decisions. Manage certifications, renewals and compliance records. Act as the day to day backup to the Senior Manager . Support audits, corrective actions and programme improvements. Respond to customer RFPs, questionnaires and due diligence requests. Monitor industry and regulatory developments. Conduct vendor and site visits, with approximately 25% travel . What We're Looking For 3+ years' experience in compliance, quality, environmental, regulatory or supplier compliance. Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 and/or ISO 9001 . Experience interpreting standards and applying them to real world situations. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Confidence making and defending compliance decisions. Strong communication and advanced Excel skills. Comfortable using SharePoint, ERP systems and AI tools . Experience with R2v3, ITAD, electronics recycling, reverse logistics, waste management or auditing would be advantageous. Why Consider It? Real ownership of a critical compliance programme.
