From our South Austin warehouse, we receive, store, configure, image, kit, and ship computer hardware for business customers with strict accuracy and chain-of-custody standards. Why This Job This is a hands-on role that blends warehouse logistics with computer bench work. One part of your day is receiving pallets, tracking customer inventory, and shipping orders on time. The other part is upgrading hardware, wiping data, imaging operating systems, and kitting customer-ready gear. Cross-training is built in across receiving, configuration, and shipping. What You Will Do Receiving, Inventory, and Warehouse Operations Unload and load trucks and pallets, break down pallets, and put product away accurately. Receive inbound equipment, inspect for damage against packing lists and purchase orders, and flag discrepancies. Enter received stock into inventory and our warehouse management system (WMS), and complete inventory transfers between locations. Asset-tag devices and record serial numbers, asset IDs, models, specs, and condition. Keep customer-owned and buy-and-hold inventory strictly separate from company stock. Maintain inventory by customer, monitor each customer's minimum stock levels, and flag low stock. Check devices in and out for customer requests while maintaining strict chain-of-custody records. Run cycle counts, help resolve inventory discrepancies, and rotate stock (first-in, first-out). Sort and stage equipment by disposition (redeploy, repair, hold, or recycle). Keep the warehouse clean, organized, secure, and compliant with safety rules. Hardware Prep, Imaging, and Data Security Install or upgrade internal hardware (RAM, drives, network cards) as needed. Configure operating systems and software, perform BIOS and firmware updates, and image or re-image devices to customer build instructions. Securely wipe devices (data sanitization) and document wipe results and certificates of destruction. Process returned equipment: inspect, wipe, and sort for reuse, repair, or disposal. Protect customer data, devices, and documents under company security rules. Kitting, Quality Control, and Shipping Kit devices and accessories into customer-ready bundles and apply custom labels. Test and quality-check every device before shipping (power-on, basic function, and packing quality). Create packing slips and pick and pack orders to each customer's packaging standards. Ship orders to customer addresses using designated carriers and labels to meet on-time targets. Update service tickets and send order-status updates when requested. Cross-train across receiving, configuration, and shipping as team needs shift. What We Are Looking For Warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory control experience (WMS, barcode/serial scanning, packing slips, cycle counts). Hands-on comfort with computers: installing RAM or drives, updating BIOS/firmware, or imaging/setting up operating systems (Windows, macOS, or Linux). High attention to detail with serial numbers, asset tags, and written instructions. Dependable, organized, and safety-minded. Physical requirement: Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand, bend, and move pallets on a warehouse floor. Required: Pallet jack or forklift experience, valid driver's license, and MUST pass national background checks.
