Duties ​Core IT Support & Helpdesk Operations ​Provide primary (Tier 1 & Tier 2) technical support for staff, resolving daily computer, software, and printing issues in person or remotely. ​Diagnose and fix routine hardware faults, operating system errors (Windows/Mac), and basic connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, local network, printers). ​Set up, configure, and troubleshoot workstation hardware, monitors, laptops, and peripheral devices. ​Manage user accounts, email setup, password resets, and basic access permissions within Microsoft 365 and local systems. ​Ensure basic endpoint protection by verifying local backups, running antivirus scans, and applying standard system updates. ​Software Support & Troubleshooting ​Help team members with standard data entry, data exports/imports, and user account setup within internal business applications. ​Contact third-party software support or vendors to resolve technical bugs or service issues when needed. ​IT Asset & Inventory Management ​Track, organize, and log all physical IT assets, including computers, laptops, monitors, mobile devices, and accessories. ​Maintain an up-to-date IT inventory log to monitor equipment assignments, hardware status, and replacement schedules. ​Coordinate the purchase of routine IT supplies (e.g., keyboards, cables, replacement parts, printer supplies) as needed. ​Handle basic onboarding and offboarding setup for employee tech equipment and software access. ​General Technical Maintenance ​Create simple, user-friendly guides or instructions to help staff navigate common technical procedures or software tools. ​Perform periodic health checks on company workstations to ensure software is up to date and running efficiently. ​Qualifications & Skills Experience Proven experience providing technical support in a help desk or desktop support environment. Strong knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile platforms. Familiarity with computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and basic cybersecurity practices. Excellent communication skills to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical users. Ability to troubleshoot hardware components such as desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals effectively. Knowledge of IT support best practices for customer service combined with a proactive problem-solving attitude.
