IT Specialist Location: Chandler, AZ (Primarily On-site) Reports To: Director of IT Operations Position Summary The IT Specialist is responsible for the complete lifecycle management of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, inventory tracking, and proper disposal. This role combines hands-on hardware handling and logistics with basic end-user technical support. Based in our Chandler office, you will ensure that equipment is ordered, configured, shipped, and properly retired in accordance with company policies while serving as a key operational support resource for staff. Key Responsibilities Equipment Procurement: Manage the ordering of IT equipment and handle related invoicing and vendor communication. Inventory Lifecycle: Oversee the recycling and disposal of obsolete or damaged equipment in compliance with company policy. Hardware Preparation: Prepare computers and laptops for deployment, including imaging and configuration. Logistics: Coordinate the shipping and receiving of IT equipment to and from office locations and remote staff. Basic Support: Provide fundamental end-user support to assist staff with hardware-related issues. Requirements: Requirements & Qualifications Experience & Education Years of Experience: 1–3 years in IT inventory management, asset tracking, or IT hardware support role preferred. Technical Proficiency: Experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM) systems, hardware imaging tools, and basic Windows/Mac troubleshooting. Education: Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent certifications/experience). Technical & Specialized Skills Asset Tracking & Inventory Management: Proven ability to track hardware through its entire lifecycle, maintaining precise records and conducting audits. Hardware Configuration & Handling: Hands-on skill in unboxing, imaging, configuring, packaging, and deploying IT equipment safely and efficiently. Basic Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve fundamental hardware and peripheral issues for end-users. Soft Skills Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining technical solutions to non-technical users in a friendly, approachable manner. Prioritization: Proven ability to manage a high volume of requests simultaneously, maintaining focus and speed under pressure. Teamwork: Collaborative spirit, eager to learn from senior IT staff and contribute to the overall success of the support team.
