The IT Purchasing Analyst will be responsible for collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of software and hardware required by the organization. They will specifically be responsible for purchasing software/hardware based on IT needs and interfacing with internal teams about which software/hardware is required.

You as a IT Purchasing Analyst Will: 

  • Provide high quality solutions to problems of well-understood complexity, without sacrificing quality or deviating from plan. 
  • Use readily available information and follow standard practices and procedures. 
  • Work is closely managed and reviewed regularly. 
  • Follow specific, outlined, and detailed procedures.
  • Emphasis of work is on applying fundamentals to practical problems.
  • Contributions are typically assignment-related activities. 
  • Failure to deliver results can normally be contained, especially if delivery issues become known early.
  • Interface with internal IT teams about which software/hardware is required.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders to approved vendors. 
  • Track and monitor procurement activities and maintained accurate records of procurement tasks.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of goods.

This is the right role for you if: 

  • Knowledgeable of foundations, basic principles, theories, and concepts, typically acquired through a university degree, and augmented through a co-op program, self-learning, and side projects.
  • 1-3 years of experience working in a procurement, with experience in purchasing IT software and hardware a plus.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication. 
  • You are able to follow and track processes. 
  • You are results oriented with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and timelines. 
  • Knowledgeable of procurement procedures, inventory management. 
  • Excellent attention to detail skills and ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, previous experience with an IT ticket system is a plus.
