FLSA Status:  Exempt

Job Summary

The IT Operations Supervisor role is responsible for providing professional and technical support for the Company in the following areas: basic system administration, network administration, and cloud administration. This position involves system administration for workstations, servers, and various network and infrastructure devices, encompassing installation/imaging, patching, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems on the required Operating System.

  • Provide leadership, development, and oversight of assigned staff to develop a high performing team that consistently exceeds companywide objectives.
  • Provide comprehensive help desk administration, assisting end-users across all company locations with day-to-day technical issues and inquiries.
  • Ensure all servers, workstations, and various network and infrastructure devices follow security and compliance requirements; perform configuration changes; conduct log analysis; and assist in system hardening and endpoint security compliance.
  • Deploy, manage, maintain, and troubleshoot systems in the following environments: software distribution and management tools, directory structure management, virtualization infrastructure, storage arrays, endpoint security servers, and databases. Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot network systems, servers, and devices; provide end-user support and technical assistance for software and equipment. Work with third-party services, vendors, and Information Technology (IT) team members to deliver effective support services; assist in creating new user accounts and providing training.
  • Take ownership of the onboarding, offboarding, and employee change request processes for the IT department. 
  • Create new user accounts including Active Directory and Phone/Voicemail setup.
  • Administer Microsoft (MS) Windows Server and Active Directory (AD) environments; design, plan, and maintain local area network/wide area network infrastructure.
  • Support phone systems and maintain orderly documentation; generate reports for management to track system performance.
  • Manage software licenses and backup systems to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Maintain workstation hardware and software to ensure smooth operations.
  • Address network, systems, help desk, and software issues promptly, seeking assistance from other IT members when needed.  Support the audit process and implement audit report recommendations
  •  Administer and support Altor SharePoint sites.
  • Be available on-call 24/7 for IT support as needed.
  •  All other duties as assigned.

Education Requirement/Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Engineering from accredited college/university or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  •  At least 2 years of leadership experience is preferred.
  •  At least 5 years of experience in Systems Administration.
  •  Ability to travel to sites for support or project deployment, as needed.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient with Microsoft Office -- MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Must possess expert knowledge in computer networking and IT hardware management including but not limited to routers, switches, access points, wired and wireless connections, LAN, WAN etc.
