Description

Position Summary

We are looking for a high-caliber IT leader to harmonize our daily technical operations with our aggressive growth strategy. You will oversee the two critical engines of our IT department: the Service Desk (ensuring our designers have seamless support) and Systems Administration (building the robust infrastructure that powers our firm).


The ideal candidate is a "System Architect" at heart—someone who can manage a complex enterprise domain today while designing the integration playbook for the firm we acquire tomorrow. 


Essential Functions

1. Operational Excellence & Service Delivery

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor Service Desk Technicians and System Administrators, fostering a culture of high performance and empathy.
  • Performance Metrics: Define, track, and report on KPIs and SLAs to ensure technical support meets the fast-paced demands of a growing architecture firm.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead the lifecycle management of all applications, ensuring deployments and updates are automated, tested, and seamless.


2. Enterprise Infrastructure & Identity

  • Domain Sovereignty: Design and manage Active Directory domains and trusts across the enterprise to ensure secure, cross-office collaboration.
  • Process Engineering: Work alongside SysAdmins to develop "Best-in-Class" systems for server management, cloud integration, and network stability.
  • Asset Lifecycle: Own the end-to-end Asset Management process for all hardware (high-end workstations, servers, mobile devices), ensuring 100% visibility and fiscal responsibility.


3. M&A & Systems Integration• Integration Strategy: 

  • Act as the technical lead for frequent mergers and acquisitions, developing a scalable framework for migrating users, data, and licenses.
  • Technical Due Diligence: Assess the IT health of potential acquisition targets and identify risks or infrastructure gaps.
  • Unified Environment: Standardize disparate tech stacks into a single, cohesive enterprise environment without disrupting design workflows.


  • Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent "in-the-trenches" experience.
  • Experience: 8+ years in IT, with 3+ years managing technical teams.
  • M&A Mastery: Proven experience with Domain Migrations (ADMT), tenant-to-tenant migrations, and forest trust management.
  • Tech Stack Proficiency:
  • Windows Server & Azure/Entra ID.
  • Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
  • MDM Solutions (Intune, Jamf, or similar).
  • Familiarity with AEC software (Autodesk, Bluebeam, Adobe CC) is highly preferred.
