As the IT Operations Manager, you will provide hands-on leadership for the Applications Help Desk, End-User Support, IT Security Administration, and IT Systems Administration functions. You will set priorities, develop staff, manage resources, and ensure these teams work together to provide effective technology services to agency employees. Your Impact Lead and develop IT Operations staff, setting priorities, establishing accountability, and supporting staff development and training. Oversee IT service delivery, including the Applications Help Desk, End-User Support, IT Security Administration, and IT Systems Administration functions. Oversee endpoint and systems operations, including device management, software deployment, Windows configurations, patching, and vulnerability remediation. Manage the IT asset lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, inventory, licensing, vendor renewals, and retirement. Strengthen IT service management, including incident, request, problem, and change management. Support employee technology services, including Microsoft 365, collaboration tools, conference room and A/V technology, and other workplace technology. Manage vendors, contracts, licensing, budgets, service levels, and operational resources to support effective and cost-conscious IT services. Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation that improve service delivery and the employee technology experience. Coordinate with the Kansas Information Technology Office (KITO), Kansas Information Security Office (KISO), Office of Information Technology Services (OITS), vendors, and other technology partners to support agency and statewide technology priorities. Provide operational planning, reporting and recommendations to IT leadership regarding staffing, technology needs, service levels, risks, and resource requirements.
