IT Category Manager
AllSTEM ConnectionsIT Category Manager Duration: 12 months Location: Glen Mills, PA | Hybrid (Mon/Wed/Thu) for local candidates; fully remote candidates also considered Pay Rate: $40–50/hr. Responsibilities Develop and execute global IT category strategies to optimize spend, reduce costs, and improve value. Manage relationships with IT stakeholders and identify sourcing and cost-saving opportunities. Lead RFPs, competitive sourcing events, financial analysis, and vendor negotiations . Negotiate major software, cloud, professional services, and outsourcing agreements. Monitor global IT market trends, suppliers, competitors, and emerging technologies. Partner with IT, Legal, Information Security, Privacy, and Procurement teams to ensure compliant, low-risk agreements. Track category spend, savings, contracts, renewals, and competitive events in procurement systems. Collaborate with the broader IT Procurement team to ensure consistent global strategies and processes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree 5–10+ years of IT procurement/category management experience. Proven experience managing $50M+ in contract spend ; candidates with only $2–3M transactional spend are not a fit. Strong global IT procurement experience supporting international operations. Experience negotiating and redlining master agreements, SOWs, professional services, outsourcing, software, and cloud contracts . Experience negotiating large enterprise software agreements such as SAP, Microsoft, Workday, or ServiceNow , as well as niche software contracts. Ariba experience is a plus.
