Autumn Ridge LandscapingNOW HIRING: IRRIGATION FOREMAN Autumn Ridge Landscaping | Minnesota Position: Irrigation Foreman – New Installations & Operations Employment: Full-Time | Year-Round Compensation: Competitive, based on experience About the Position Autumn Ridge Landscaping is seeking an experienced, motivated, and dependable Irrigation Foreman to lead our irrigation installation operations. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, knows how to manage a productive crew, and can take ownership of projects from start to finish. During the growing season, the primary focus will be leading new residential and commercial irrigation installations, with some seasonal startup and winterization responsibilities. This is a year-round position. During the winter months, the Irrigation Foreman will transition into inventory management, equipment organization, material planning, and preparation for the upcoming installation season. We’re looking for someone who is organized, self-motivated, and capable of making decisions in the field while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Spring, Summer & Fall – Field Operations Lead and work alongside an irrigation installation crew on residential and commercial projects. Oversee new irrigation system installations from initial layout through final testing and completion. Read and interpret irrigation plans, layouts, and specifications. Ensure proper installation of piping, valves, sprinkler heads, controllers, and related components. Coordinate daily crew assignments, materials, tools, and equipment needed for each project. Troubleshoot irrigation installation issues and make appropriate field adjustments. Maintain productivity, jobsite organization, safety, and quality standards. Perform spring startups on previously completed irrigation projects. Complete winterizations on irrigation systems installed during the current season. Communicate project progress, scheduling needs, and potential issues with management. Train, mentor, and support crew members to build a productive team. Winter – Inventory & Seasonal Planning Conduct and maintain accurate inventory of irrigation parts, materials, tools, and equipment. Organize and maintain irrigation inventory and storage areas. Evaluate material usage and identify purchasing needs for the upcoming season. Review upcoming irrigation projects, plans, and installation requirements. Prepare material lists and coordinate ordering needs with management. Inspect, organize, and prepare irrigation tools and equipment for the next season. Identify opportunities to improve installation efficiency, inventory management, and crew productivity. Assist with preseason planning to ensure crews are prepared for a successful spring startup. Qualifications Required: Strong hands-on experience with irrigation system installation. Thorough knowledge of irrigation components, controllers, valves, piping, and system operation. Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans. Ability to troubleshoot irrigation systems and resolve installation challenges. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects. Valid driver’s license. Ability to perform physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Dependable, hardworking, and committed to quality workmanship. Preferred: Previous experience as an Irrigation Foreman or Crew Leader. Experience overseeing residential and commercial irrigation installations. Experience coordinating crews, equipment, and materials. Familiarity with inventory management and material purchasing.
