Cycle Counter Position Summary The Cycle Counter is a key member of the 1-800-Flowers Inventory Control and Accuracy team and is responsible for supporting inventory accuracy throughout the facility. This position requires the ability to work in extremely cold freezer temperatures while managing multiple assignments in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment. The Cycle Counter works closely with peers, leadership, and business partners to monitor inventory control systems, research and resolve inventory discrepancies, and address inventory concerns. This role performs inventory control activities using warehouse management systems and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) while meeting established KPIs, wearing required PPE, following established processes and procedures, and complying with all safety rules and regulations. Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-2:30am Cold Storage Environment Candidates must be able to work in demanding conditions, including crowded areas and cold/freezer storage environments ranging from approximately -10°F to 40°F for the entire 8–10 hour shift . Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform inventory audits and cycle counts using RF devices Research and resolve inventory discrepancies using warehouse management systems, including: Oracle Cloud Oracle RF SAP EBS Financials Monitor inventory accuracy and help identify inventory control gaps Communicate inventory issues affecting the Inventory team or other areas of the business to the Supervisor Respond to business partner requests quickly and professionally Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) as required Meet established inventory and operational KPIs Identify opportunities for continuous improvement Provide ideas and recommendations to improve inventory control processes and accuracy Follow established inventory processes and procedures Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Comply with and support all health, safety, and environmental programs, policies, and procedures Work effectively in a fast-paced, multitask environment Maintain flexibility to work after hours when required Work in all cooler and freezer storage environments, including below-freezing temperatures Perform additional duties, assignments, and projects as directed by executive management Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to work in cold/freezer storage ranging from approximately -10°F to 40°F for the entire 8–10 hour shift Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to walk distances of 200 yards or more Ability to bend, twist, reach, and grip throughout the shift Ability to lift and handle boxes weighing up to 50 lbs Ability to lift materials at varying levels, from floor level to above the head Ability to work in crowded and demanding warehouse conditions Ability to safely operate required Material Handling Equipment Must wear required PPE Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Requirements: Experience & Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 1–2 years of inventory control experience required Inventory experience may include Manufacturing, Wholesale, Distribution/Warehouse, Direct Marketing, or Retail environments Cold food environment experience preferred Experience working in extremely cold environments for extended periods 1–2 years of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operating experience required Working knowledge of Oracle and Warehouse Management Systems such as EBS or WMS preferred, but not required Intermediate computer skills required Strong organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively with peers, leadership, and business partners
