Inventory / Warehouse Manager

Whelan Machine & Tool, an Ajax Defense company, is a precision machining and fabrication shop in Louisville supporting aerospace and defense customers. We're hiring an Inventory / Warehouse Manager to own inventory control, the warehouse, shipping & receiving, and plant facilities and safety. What you'll do: Lead the shipping & receiving and facilities/safety team. Own ERP inventory accuracy: cycle counts, physical inventory, and fixing discrepancies. Manage stock locations, labeling, and material traceability (heat/lot numbers and certs). Oversee receiving, put-away, kitting, material issue, packaging, and shipping to hit delivery dates. Apply lean/5S to keep the warehouse and floor organized and efficient. Run warehouse safety, including forklift training, housekeeping, and OSHA compliance. What you bring: 5+ years in inventory, warehouse, or materials management in manufacturing, with 2+ years leading a team. Strong ERP/MRP and Excel skills. Shipping and receiving know-how. Forklift certified, or able to get certified. U.S. Person under ITAR (required). Preferred: Microsoft Dynamics NAV, APICS CPIM, lean/5S, and aerospace/defense experience. You should be proficient in: Warehouse Experience ERP & MRP Systems Inventory Management & Control AS9100 Experience ITAR Registration Experience
