Knowledge of inventory auditing, cycle counts, and configuration control practices. Experience working in manufacturing, clean room, or highly regulated environments. Understanding of engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), or work orders. Experience supporting cross-functional teams in mission-critical or schedule-driven environments. Job Description We are seeking an Inventory Specialist I/II to support operations teams and ensure they have the materials, hardware, tooling, and resources needed to successfully execute spacecraft production, integration, test, and launch preparation activities. This role serves as a critical link between inventory, production, engineering, and operations teams to ensure work can be executed efficiently and without delays. The Inventory Specialist will support upcoming operations by reviewing work orders and operational requirements, verifying material readiness, and ensuring all required hardware and consumables are available and properly tracked. Responsibilities include managing inventory of adhesives, tapes, bolts, tooling, and other production materials; coordinating calibration status of equipment; maintaining organized inventory systems; and ensuring production teams have everything required to execute scheduled work. This individual will act as a primary point of contact for material and inventory needs on the production floor, proactively identifying shortages, resolving logistical issues, and working cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to support mission success. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment supporting complex aerospace hardware. This position is an initial 6-month contract with opportunity to extend. This is an onsite position working a 9x80 schedule. Compensation : $30/hr to $41/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
