Inventory Specialist

Overview As an Inventory Specialist, you’ll keep products moving accurately through warehouse and supply chain operations. You’ll monitor stock, analyze demand and purchasing data, and work with suppliers and cross-functional teams to support reliable order fulfillment. Your impact: Accurate inventory control helps warehouse and retail teams find the right products when needed and supports a smoother experience for customers. Duties Track inventory, stocking, materials handling, and order fulfillment using a warehouse management system, inventory management software, and ERP systems. Review demand planning, production planning, procurement, purchasing, pricing, and sourcing data; identify discrepancies through root cause analysis. Use spreadsheets, Excel data analysis, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or AS400 to support data collection, data mining, data visualization, and supply chain analytics. Coordinate warehouse distribution, logistics, 3PL partners, supplier management, contracts, and category management; apply negotiation and process improvement skills. Support financial analysis, financial modeling, merchandising, and e-commerce inventory decisions using analytics and market data such as Nielsen. Requirements Warehouse experience, including warehouse operations, warehouse management, logistics inventory management, inventory management, and inventory control. Knowledge of supply chain, supply chain management, materials management, MRP (material requirements planning), and warehouse management systems. Data analysis skills, analysis skills, math, and technical proficiency; experience with data analytics and retail management is helpful. Cross-functional communication and supplier management experience; familiarity with procurement, sourcing, and contracts is preferred. Ability to handle materials and perform heavy lifting; forklift experience is preferred.
