Seeks approval from others on matters outside of job/role scope. Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives and possible solutions. Unusual problems are solved jointly with manager. Work is reviewed for application of sound technical judgment. May lead a work group or project team consisting of technical and support staff. Builds internal and external relationships, with emphasis on those that facilitate the achievement of job/role accountabilities, such as relationships with key suppliers, customers and internal service.Detailed DescriptionPerforms tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:Coordinates, controls and reports inventory for the Program Management teamAnalyze inventory data to identify excess, slow-moving and obsolete materials.Perform regular E&O analysis to identify inventory risk and financial potential.Prepare and submit E&O claims to customer in accordance with contractual agreeements.Maintain proper tracking of E&O exposure, claim submissions, approvals and recovery amount.Produces weekly reports to forecast and track inventory.Balances inventory results with financial records.Tracks inventory issues and assists team members in understanding and resolving issues.Coordinates the distribution of surplus parts to other sites.Initiates the scrapping of surplus parts ensuring in accordance with Celestica procedures.Physical DemandsDuties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.Typical EducationBachelor's degree in related field (Business or Engineering), or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experienceEducational requirements may vary by geography.Typical ExperienceTwo to four years relevant experience in inventory analysis, supply chain planning or material managementExperience in Manufacturing environment.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Experience with SAP & RapidResponse NotesThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities of the position.
