We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Specialist to manage the flow of raw materials, tooling, and finished parts in our fast-paced machine shop. This role ensures accurate inventory records, timely replenishment, and efficient organization of stock to support efficient on-time production. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing or machining environments and a strong understanding of inventory systems and material handling. Responsibilities Monitor and maintain inventory levels of raw materials, tools, and finished goods. Issue materials to machinists and production staff based on job orders and production schedules. Maintain accurate records in inventory management software (e.g., Realtrac). Coordinate with Purchasing to reorder stock as needed based on reorder points and usage trends. Label and organize inventory for easy identification and access. Track tooling usage, wear, and reordering needs. Collaborate with production, quality, and shipping/receiving teams to ensure smooth workflow. Maintain an organized stock room to ensure efficiency. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification is a plus. Familiarity with CNC shop materials, tooling, and part numbers. Proficiency in inventory software systems (Realtrac & Excel). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic understanding of production workflows and job routing.
