About Grip: Grip is redefining cold-chain logistics for direct-to-consumer (DTC) eCommerce brands. Founded in 2022 by former ButcherBox executives, Grip combines advanced technology with a nationwide fulfillment network to optimize the shipping of perishable goods. Our proprietary Smart Logistics Engine analyzes over 25 million data points daily—including weather patterns, carrier performance, and real-time temperatures—to make intelligent, package-level shipping decisions. Grip’s Pulse Order Management System (OMS) offers real-time inventory tracking, batch traceability, and seamless integration with platforms like Shopify. This end-to-end solution provides brands with complete visibility and control over their supply chain, eliminating the need for multiple third-party tools. With strategically located temperature-controlled fulfillment centers, Grip can reach over 80% of the U.S. population within 24 hours. Our mission is to empower DTC brands to scale efficiently by providing innovative logistics solutions tailored to the unique challenges of shipping. Job Description: The Inventory Specialist keeps the stock in Grip’s Fort Worth fulfillment center accurate, so what the systems show matches what’s on the shelf. The role works closely with Grip’s central Inventory team. Grip ships perishable direct-to-consumer orders (frozen, refrigerated and dry) for food and beverage brands, so lots and expiration dates matter as much as counts. The site runs on Deposco, Grip’s warehouse management system (WMS), and inventory there must stay in sync with Pulse, Grip’s order and inventory platform. Specific responsibilities: Cycle Counts: Run daily cycle counts by location and SKU, and recount any variance before it’s adjusted. Physical Counts: Support full physical counts, including planning count teams and reconciling results. Discrepancy Research: Research discrepancies between Deposco and Pulse, checking receipts, picks, moves and adjustments to find the root cause. Inventory Adjustments: Make inventory adjustments in Deposco with a reason code, following Grip’s Inventory Adjustments SOP (notify the Grip team before any adjustment of ±10 units or more). Lots, Expirations, and Holds: Check lots and expiration dates, flag product that is near expiry or expired, and place holds on damaged or questionable product. Labels and Locations: Keep location and LPN labels accurate, fix mislabeled or misplaced stock, and set up and maintain locations, home locations and pick faces in Deposco with the site lead. Replenishment: Monitor replenishment so pick faces stay stocked. Inventory Team Requests: Answer requests from Grip’s Inventory team (counts, audits, holds, disposals) and report results the same day. Documentation: Take photos and document damages, holds and disposals. Work Environment Regular work in freezer (below 0°F), cooler and dry areas, with company-provided cold weather gear. Work around forklifts, pallet jacks and dry ice. Stand and walk for most of the shift, lift up to 50 lbs, and bend, reach and climb to check high locations. Monday to Friday, with some early mornings or weekends for full counts. Extra hours are likely during peak season (November to December). What You Bring: High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years in inventory control, cycle counting or warehouse operations. Hands-on experience with a WMS and handheld scanners. Comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets (filters, sorting, basic formulas). Strong attention to detail and the ability to work through a problem methodically. Nice to Have: Experience with Deposco or a similar cloud WMS. Lot and expiration date tracking in food, cold chain or pharmaceutical settings. 3PL or e-commerce fulfillment background. Forklift certification. Bilingual English and Spanish. Equal Employment Opportunity Statement: Grip is an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to complying with all applicable non-disc…
