Join a Team Where Your Work Makes a Difference! Looking for more than just a job? At EDM, you're not just an employee. You're an employee-owner. We're a 100% employee-owned electronics manufacturing company where hard work, great ideas, and a commitment to doing things right truly matter. We take pride in what we build, how we work together, and the people who make it all possible. We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and ready to take ownership of their work. If you're the type of person who enjoys staying busy, solving problems, and making sure things run smoothly, you might be exactly who we're looking for! The Opportunity As an Inventory Specialist, you'll play an important role in keeping our production teams moving. From receiving incoming materials to organizing inventory and preparing components for production, your work will help ensure the right materials are in the right place at the right time. This isn't a position where you'll just be checking boxes. We're looking for someone who takes pride in accuracy, notices when something isn't right, and takes initiative to help find solutions. You'll have a primary area of responsibility within our inventory operations, with opportunities to learn and support other areas as you grow your knowledge and skills. What You'll Be Doing Keep production moving. Pull, prepare, and deliver materials to ensure our manufacturing teams have what they need, when they need it. Own the details. Maintain accurate inventory records, verify quantities, and ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and organized. Stay one step ahead. Identify shortages, discrepancies, or potential delays and communicate them before they become bigger problems. Use technology. Work with inventory management systems, electronic records, and specialized equipment to track and manage materials. Work as a team. Collaborate with production, purchasing, and other inventory team members to solve problems and keep materials flowing. Make things better. Share ideas and help improve the processes that keep our operations running efficiently. Take pride in your space. Maintain a clean, organized work area where accuracy and efficiency come first. Depending on your primary assignment, you may focus on receiving incoming materials, managing electronic components for our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) operations, or preparing material kits for production. Cross-training provides opportunities to develop additional skills across our inventory team. What Makes Someone Successful Here? We're not just looking for someone who can count parts or move materials. We're looking for someone we can count on. You'll be a great fit if you: Take ownership. You care about getting things right and follow through on your responsibilities. Have an eye for detail. You notice the little things because you understand they can make a big difference. Are dependable. Your teammates can count on you to show up, stay focused, and get the job done. Enjoy staying busy. You thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced environment where priorities can change. Think ahead. You don't just wait for someone to point out a problem. You look for ways to prevent it. Are a team player. You're willing to jump in, help others, and do what's needed to keep things moving. Want to learn. You're open to new systems, processes, and opportunities to build your skills. What You'll Bring High school diploma or GED Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Comfort learning computer-based inventory systems and using technology Previous experience in inventory, receiving, warehousing, or manufacturing is preferred, but we're also interested in candidates with the right skills and mindset Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, frequently lift up to 30 pounds, and perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending,…
