Inventory Specialist

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts, and optimizing inventory processes. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to enhance operational efficiency. Duties Perform varied and general tasks involved in controlling inventory, storing, and distributing materials, parts, and supplies. Unload, inspect, and verify incoming electronic components against purchase orders, packing slips, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Support intermediate level transactional processes that require independent judgement. Provide day-to-day material support for manufacturing. Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory validations. Pull parts and build accurate production kits for SMT, manual insertion, hand soldering, and final box-build operations. Report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. Use inventory control ERP system to transact material flow. Packaging up materials and finished goods Performs other duties as assigned as directed by supervisor. Requirements Proven experience in inventory management or a related field. Must be familiar with using different computer applications and be able to navigate simple software. Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques and best practices. Has the ability to multi-task Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal teams. Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Experience in production planning is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for the role. Education and Training High school diploma or GED One to three years related experience and/or trianing preferred.
