Alliance Machine & Fabrication LLC is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Inventory & Shipping Coordinator to manage inventory, receiving, and shipping operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for keeping inventory accurate and organized, receiving incoming materials, preparing complex customer shipments, and ensuring products are properly packaged, documented, and shipped on time. This role requires someone who is comfortable working independently, using computers and online customer portals, and handling multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate inventory of materials, components, finished goods, and shipping supplies Keep inventory and shipping areas clean, organized, labeled, and easy to navigate Perform routine physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies Receive incoming raw materials, purchased components, and other deliveries Verify incoming material quantities and documentation Properly identify, label, and store received materials Prepare and coordinate large and complex customer shipments Verify part numbers, quantities, paperwork, and packaging requirements before shipment Build or assemble wooden shipping containers, crates, pallets, and other packaging as needed Package and secure manufactured parts to prevent damage during transportation Prepare packing lists, labels, bills of lading, and other shipping documentation Enter shipment and inventory information accurately into computer systems Complete required reporting through customer websites and online portals Coordinate with production and office personnel to ensure orders are ready and shipped on schedule Maintain accurate records of material received, inventory on hand, and products shipped Identify and report inventory shortages, discrepancies, or shipping issues promptly Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed Prioritize multiple shipments and responsibilities to meet tight customer deadlines Qualifications Previous shipping, receiving, inventory, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software and customer portals Excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills Strong attention to detail, especially when verifying part numbers and quantities Comfortable counting and tracking large quantities of parts Ability to read and follow packing instructions, customer requirements, and shipping documentation Ability to use basic hand and power tools to build shipping containers and crates Able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Able to stay organized and accurate while working under tight timelines and pressure Dependable, self-motivated, and able to take ownership of the inventory and shipping areas Good communication skills and ability to work with production, purchasing, quality, and office personnel What We're Looking For The right person for this position is someone who takes ownership of their area . We need someone who notices when inventory is incorrect, material is out of place, a shipment is missing something, or a deadline is approaching—and takes action. This is not simply a packing or warehouse position. The person in this role will be responsible for helping maintain inventory accuracy and ensuring that sometimes large, detailed, multi-part customer shipments are complete, properly documented, packaged correctly, and shipped on time.
