The Role This is a hands-on, onsite role based at Columbia, MD. The Inventory Management/Shipper/Receiver manages the flow of goods into and out of a facility, verifies inventory accuracy in D365, and organizes stock in the warehouse. Key Responsibilities Receiving & Inbound Stock Support the unload incoming goods, containers, and deliveries. Inspect goods for damage, defects, or missing items. Cross-check received items against purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips registering in D365. Record and report any shipping discrepancies or damaged goods. Code, label, and put away inventory into designated warehouse storage locations. Shipping & Outbound Orders Pick, pack, wrap, and label outgoing orders accurately. Prepare shipping documentation in D365 including bills of lading, manifests, and address labels. Coordinate and schedule pickups with freight carriers and shipping services. Load outgoing goods onto delivery trucks safely. Stock & Inventory Management Conduct routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits. Update digital inventory tracking systems in D365. Maintain FIFO (First-In, First-Out) stock rotation methods. Reconcile inventory discrepancies and report stock shortages or surpluses. Key Requirements Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy packages (frequently up to 35–50 lbs). Technical Skills: Intermediate computer literacy; familiarity with inventory systems (D365) and shipping portals (UPS, FedEx, others). Equipment Operation: Ability or willingness to learn how to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks. Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills to work with vendors and internal teams. Salary & Benefits Pay is $23 per hour.
