Inventory Receiving Specialist

Full-Time Position. Pay level negotiable depending on experience. Quality Meats and Seafood is looking for a responsible Inventory Receiving Specialist to receive, inspect and record shipments with raw material or products. You will be responsible for unloading packages and checking their contents to ensure they match the orders. The candidate will also need to complete the receiving process on an rf scanner. The candidate must have a great eye for detail and basic math skills. They must also have adequate physical strength to lift boxes weighing anywhere from 10-80 lbs or more, as well as the clerical skills to update records and follow up with suppliers. The goal is to ensure we receive the correct packages and stock them appropriately. Responsibilities Collaborate with procurement staff to plan expected deliveries Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt Unload packages from incoming trucks Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.) Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place Ensure invoices are signed and paid for satisfactory deliveries Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control Requirements and skills Proven experience as a receiving clerk Experience in operating forklifts Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data Basic math and recording abilities Excellent organizational skills Great communication and interpersonal abilities Keen eye for detail Ability to lift 50 to +70lbs repetitively High school diploma Quality Meats & Seafood 700 Center Street West Fargo, ND 58078 701-282-0202 Employee owned company Benefits and profit sharing Discount cost on food items Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $20.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Vision insurance People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Experience: Warehouse/Shipping: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: Forklift Certified (Preferred) Work Location: In person
