Position Overview HCR Cabinets & Countertops is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Stone Inventory & Receiving Manager to oversee the receiving, tracking, inspection, organization, and digital inventory management of our selection of slab materials and other products. This is a hands-on, independent role for someone who can take ownership of the stone yard and inventory process from the moment material arrives until it is ready for production. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, operating material-handling equipment, using inventory software, and maintaining an accurate, organized, and safe work environment. Experience with Slabsmith is highly preferred. This position does not involve purchasing or ordering materials; the focus is on receiving, inventory accuracy, material organization, and production readiness. Key Responsibilities Receiving & Material Inspection Receive incoming stone shipments and verify materials against shipping manifests and documentation. Inspect slabs for visible damage, defects, and discrepancies before accepting and processing deliveries. Safely unload and move stone bundles using a boom-arm forklift, overhead crane, or other approved material-handling equipment. Document damaged or incorrect materials and coordinate with our internal team for resolutions or returns. Inventory Management & Slabsmith Enter and maintain accurate slab inventory records in Slabsmith and related tracking systems. Photograph, scan, and program slabs into the digital inventory system as required. Ensure slab information, quantities, locations, and inventory statuses remain accurate and up to date. Review inventory records and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and digital records. Stone Yard Organization Maintain an organized, clearly identified stone yard with designated areas for display inventory, customer selections and holds, and production-ready materials. Track slab locations and ensure materials can be located quickly and accurately. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe yard and receiving area. Monitor inventory organization to prevent misplaced, overlooked, or incorrectly identified materials. Production Coordination Review cut sheets and job requirements to identify the correct slabs needed for upcoming production. Pull and stage the appropriate slabs for scheduled jobs. Verify that selected materials match job specifications and are ready for production. Communicate material issues, shortages, or discrepancies to the appropriate team members. Qualifications Experience in inventory management, receiving, stone fabrication, warehouse operations, or a similar industrial environment preferred. Slabsmith experience or familiarity with stone inventory and imaging software strongly preferred. Experience operating a forklift, boom-arm forklift, overhead crane, or similar equipment preferred. Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Comfortable using computers and maintaining accurate digital records. Ability to work independently, manage daily responsibilities, and take ownership of inventory accuracy. Commitment to workplace safety and proper material-handling procedures. Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, and working around heavy materials. Willingness to learn HCR's inventory systems and operating procedures.
