Inventory Prep Specialist

At CamCo, we process through overstocked/liquidated/donated books to see if they have any life left in them - which then allows us to send them back out into the world. Role overview You will be helping sort, upload information, label, and ship books to different stores and ordering centers around the United States. This is all possible due to our own in-house software, which is intuitive and easy to learn. Learn practical knowledge about starting and running a business: Company leaders (mostly me) are able to answer any questions about the journey of CamCo from conception to puberty. Paid training: Get ready to learn how to use the coolest software ever. What you’ll actually do Inventory inspection & prep: Label items correctly, navigate simple shipment creation software, construct boxes with tape. Organization: Sort items into bins/boxes, stage orders, and keep prep areas tidy for whomever works there next. Supplies & equipment: Use thermal label printers, scanners, and basic tools; reload supplies as needed. Standards & safe: Follow step-by-step instructions to ensure barcodes and packaging meet marketplace requirements. What we’re looking for Comfortable on a computer: The bulk of the work is at computers, you got to know how to type words. Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently: Aside from the occasional managerial lurk/observation, a lot of what you'll be doing is not directly supervised. The ability to comfortably lift up to 40lbs: Books are heavy (often filled with knowledge), so please be ready to gain some pounds of muscle. Compensation & employment type Hourly; however raises can be rewarded as you go! In summation: This job is perfect for people who are on the grind.
