Inventory & Parts Runner

Job Summary Sunmet Juice Company, LLC is seeking a reliable, professional Inventory & Parts Runner to support our Maintenance Department. You will source, order, receive and organize the parts and materials that keep our plant running, and help minimize downtime by getting the right parts to the right place quickly. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable and self-motivated, takes pride in accurate records, and represents the company professionally with coworkers, vendors and visitors. Reports To: Maintenance Manager Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; weekend availability depending on business need. Loctaion : Onsite - Tulare, CA Pay Range: $24.00 -$26.00 per hour. Job Type: Full-Time, non-exempt Job Responsibilities Work with management to secure parts quickly and keep production running. Research parts, identify sources and compare pricing and lead times with at least three vendors. Order parts and supplies as needed or requested. Pick up parts from local vendors and deliver them on site when needed. Perform weekly, bi-weekly and monthly physical cycle counts. Establish and maintain minimum and maximum on-hand stock levels. Validate current and needed inventory, and build and maintain the parts inventory database. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and inventory records. Identify and implement improvements to inventory control procedures and processes. Ship and receive parts, checking deliveries against orders. Keep parts storage areas clean, labeled and organized. Systems and records Mapcon: issue work orders and sign off work as completed. Famous: match work orders to purchase orders and maintain accurate records. Maintain the equipment document library. General Act professionally at all times and represent the company's best interests. Maintain a valid California driver's license. Perform other tasks as assigned. Qualifications Required Prior experience in inventory, parts, warehouse or a similar role for at least one year. Experience with an inventory tracking system or inventory management software. Basic math skills for counts, reorder quantities and ordering. Understanding of supply chain basics and the flow of parts from vendor to shop floor. Valid California driver's license. Preferred Experience with Mapcon (not required). Experience with Famous or a similar ERP system. Familiarity with industrial or plant maintenance parts. Skills and attributes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve inventory issues. High attention to detail in record-keeping and counts. Highly organized and deadline-oriented, able to manage several tasks at once. Self-starter who completes assigned work with minimal follow-up and proactively updates their supervisor. Clear verbal and written communication with other departments and vendors. Physical Demands Frequent standing, walking, bending and reaching in the storeroom and plant. Periodic sitting for computer and data entry work. Lift up to 25 pounds on occasion. Drive to local vendors for parts pickups.
