Inventory & Operations Coordinator Simone & Son Jewelers | Huntington Beach, CA Position Overview Simone & Son Jewelers is seeking a knowledgeable, organized, and detail-oriented Staff Gemologist to join our team. This versatile position combines gemological expertise with inventory management, administrative support, and customer service. The ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, takes pride in accuracy and organization, and is comfortable supporting multiple aspects of a busy fine jewelry business. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management & Website Content Assist with processing, organizing, and maintaining new and existing jewelry inventory. Verify accurate product descriptions, gemstone specifications, costs, and retail pricing. Help prepare jewelry for website listings, including product descriptions, photography coordination, and inventory updates. Assist with inventory audits, tracking, and general merchandise organization. Administrative & Operational Support Support daily administrative activities and help maintain accurate records. Assist with custom jewelry orders, repairs, special orders, and production follow-up as needed. Coordinate with sales staff, jewelers, and management to ensure work is properly documented and completed on time. Help maintain organized workflows and support the overall efficiency of store operations. Customer Service & Sales Support Provide friendly, professional assistance to customers in person, by phone, and through online inquiries. Support the sales team with gemstone and jewelry knowledge, product research, and customer requests. Assist with jewelry pickups, order updates, and customer follow-up. Help ensure every customer receives the exceptional service Simone & Son is known for. Gemological Support Assist with gemstone and diamond identification, grading, and quality assessment. Verify gemstone information and documentation for inventory and customer orders. Provide gemological expertise to support the sales and production teams. Assist with appraisals and other gemological projects when needed. Qualifications Graduate Gemologist (GIA) designation preferred. Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable using computers, inventory systems, and basic office software. Fine jewelry retail or inventory experience is a plus. Positive attitude, adaptability, and a willingness to assist across departments.
