Inventory & Materials Coordinator Position Summary The Inventory & Materials Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory across multiple warehouse locations and ensuring production has the correct components available when needed. This position will perform regular cycle counts, maintain accurate inventory records in SAP, verify pallet identification and labeling, and work closely with Production, Warehouse, and Shipping/Receiving teams to keep materials moving efficiently. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position in a manufacturing and warehouse environment where priorities can change quickly. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and able to keep track of a large number of components and inventory locations without losing focus. Key Responsibilities Inventory Control Perform scheduled and unscheduled cycle counts across multiple warehouse locations. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between physical inventory and SAP. Maintain accurate inventory quantities and locations within SAP. Identify inventory that is missing, misplaced, damaged, or incorrectly recorded. Research inventory discrepancies and communicate findings to appropriate departments. Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages before they impact production. Assist with physical inventory counts and inventory audits. Maintain accurate records of inventory movements between warehouse locations. SAP & Inventory Transactions Use SAP to research inventory, material numbers, quantities, storage locations, and inventory movements. Enter and/or verify inventory transactions as required. Confirm that physical inventory matches SAP records. Research discrepancies and follow the appropriate process for corrections. Become familiar with a large number of SKUs, components, packaging materials, and finished products. Maintain accurate information while working with multiple materials and warehouse locations. Production Support Work closely with Production to ensure required components are available and located in the correct warehouse. Monitor upcoming production needs and help identify components that need to be moved or replenished. Coordinate the movement of materials between warehouses when necessary. Respond quickly to production requests and changing priorities. Communicate shortages, discrepancies, or material concerns to Production and Management. Help prevent production delays caused by missing or incorrectly located components. Verify that the correct materials are being supplied to production. Pallet & Label Control Verify that pallets are properly labeled and identifiable. Ensure labels contain the correct product information, SKU/part number, quantity, lot/batch information, and other required information. Identify and correct missing, damaged, or incorrect labels. Work with Warehouse and Production personnel to correct labeling issues. Ensure materials are stored in the appropriate location and can be easily identified and located. Warehouse Coordination Regularly travel between multiple warehouse areas to verify inventory and material locations. Maintain organization and visibility of components throughout the warehouse. Help identify misplaced or incorrectly stored materials. Communicate inventory and warehouse issues to the appropriate personnel. Work closely with Shipping, Receiving, Production, and Warehouse personnel. Assist with maintaining accurate warehouse locations and inventory organization. Work Environment This position works in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment . The inventory coordinator may be responsible for tracking a large number of components across multiple warehouse locations while responding to changing production needs.
