As our operations continue to grow, we are seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Inventory & Materials Assistant to support receiving, inventory control, equipment organization, material preparation, and daily operational activities. Position Overview The Inventory & Materials Assistant plays an important role in keeping equipment, components, tools, and installation materials organized, accurately tracked, and readily available for technicians and service teams. This position supports the day-to-day flow of materials from receiving and inspection through storage, inventory tracking, staging, and distribution. Responsibilities include verifying incoming deliveries, maintaining inventory records, organizing equipment and components, preparing materials for scheduled installations and service calls, monitoring stock levels, and assisting with returns and replenishment. Working closely with technicians, purchasing, operations, and other team members, the Inventory & Materials Assistant helps ensure that materials are in the right place at the right time so installation and service work can move forward efficiently. The ideal candidate is dependable, attentive to detail, comfortable working with both physical inventory and basic computer records, and able to stay organized while managing multiple priorities. Previous experience in inventory, receiving, warehouse operations, or materials coordination is helpful but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect, count, and organize incoming equipment, components, tools, and supplies Verify deliveries against purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, and other receiving documentation Check product descriptions, part numbers, quantities, and basic order information for accuracy Record received materials and maintain accurate inventory information in company systems, spreadsheets, or tracking logs Organize fire alarm components, security equipment, cameras, access control products, cables, wiring, connectors, hardware, tools, and related installation materials Assign and maintain organized storage locations to keep products accessible and easy to identify Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock or replenishment needs before commonly used materials become unavailable Prepare and stage equipment, components, and supplies for scheduled installations, service calls, and technician requests Pick and organize materials according to work orders, project requirements, or internal requests Verify quantities and product information before materials are issued for installation or service work Track material usage, transfers, returns, replacements, and inventory adjustments Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory counts, and reconciliation of inventory differences Investigate basic inventory discrepancies and help identify misplaced or incorrectly recorded materials Identify damaged, missing, incorrect, or improperly labeled products and report issues promptly Coordinate with purchasing and operations regarding incoming orders, backorders, product availability, and expected deliveries Assist with receiving and organizing replacement parts and frequently used service materials Prepare equipment and materials for technician pickup, outgoing shipment, or delivery to project locations Process returned materials and help organize items for restocking, replacement, vendor return, or further review Assist with warranty-related products, replacements, and vendor returns when needed Maintain accurate documentation for receiving, inventory movements, returns, transfers, and outgoing materials Support technici…
