We believe every building we create, and every part of that building, positively contributes to communities where people live, work and play.Job DescriptionCornerstone Building Brands is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager with background in Lean/Continuous Improvement. The ideal candidate will be familiar with duties such as monitoring purchases / shipments, verifying, reconciling and reporting on the company’s inventory, and finding new ways to meet and exceed our working capital goals. A successful inventory manager will ensure that all business operations have adequate material to achieve their objectives yet validate that overstocking is also not taking place. In addition to standard inventory management duties:The ideal candidate should have some knowledge of sourcing (tactical or strategic). How to map a process for improvement. (An example of where this effort could be brought to bear are CI events focused on finding new ways to present material at point of use for improved efficiencies in operations.) This position is based in Ritchie County, WV.Devise ways to optimize inventory control proceduresInspect the levels of business supplies and raw material to identify shortages and overagesEnsure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customersRecord deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventoryUse software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventoryAnalyze data to anticipate future needsEvaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationshipsCollaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are metReport to upper management on stock levels, issues etc. Devising ways to optimize / present inventory and control proceduresInspecting the levels of business supplies and raw material to identify shortagesEnsuring product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers QualificationsRequirements and skillsProven experience as inventory manager or similar positionExcellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methodsDemonstrated / applied Lean skillsetWorking knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. ERP)Ability to accurately track inventory and create reportsAn analytical mind with strong math skillsExcellent organizational and planning skillsOutstanding communication and interpersonal abilitiesBS/BA in business administration, logistics or relevant field5-7 years experience in inventory managementRelevant qualifications (e.g. CPIM) will be a plusAdditional InformationWhy work for Cornerstone Building Brands?Our teams are at the heart of our purpose to positively contribute to the communities where we live, work and play.
