MSIAbout The Role MSI is hiring an Inventory Manager to lead warehouse inventory operations at our Edison, NJ distribution center. In this role, the Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing shift supervisors, leading warehouse teams, and ensuring all shifts are properly staffed to meet daily operational demands. The Inventory Manager drives inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, quality processes, safety compliance, and continuous improvement while managing multiple shifts and supporting the overall success of the distribution center. Work Hours: Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM, 1 Saturday(s) a month from 08:00 AM to 01:00 PM Seniority Level: Mid-Senior Level Employment Type: Full-time Compensation: This salaried, exempt position pays from $85,000 to $105,000 per year. The estimated annual pay for new hires generally ranges from $95,000 to $115,000 or more, depending on experience, education level and annual bonuses. Key Responsibilities Ensure all warehouse shifts and functions are appropriately staffed to support varying workloads within a 100,000-square-foot distribution center. Lead and manage approximately 25 employees through direct supervision of shift supervisors. Develop, implement, and maintain facility quality processes. Ensure on-time shipping performance by partnering with supervisors and managers to meet receiving and shipping standards. Manage daily, weekly, and monthly quality and productivity reporting. Oversee warehouse realignment activities to maximize facility efficiency and space utilization. Drive operational improvements that support distribution center layout optimization and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide leadership, coaching, training, and performance management for shift supervisors and warehouse team members. Develop leadership capabilities within the team while promoting employee growth and engagement. Oversee facility maintenance, equipment maintenance, and supply management. Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures. Manage daily cycle counts, inventory research, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and inventory accuracy initiatives. Lead the planning, coordination, execution, and continuous improvement of annual physical inventory. Support additional operational responsibilities as assigned, including oversight of the Slabs Team when needed. Manage operations across multiple warehouse shifts. Requirements & Qualifications Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to present operational metrics and business data to leadership. Strong knowledge of warehouse management and distribution center operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments. Strategic thinker who adapts effectively to changing business needs. Goal-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated. Excellent time management and decision-making skills. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Experience Requirements Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory or management experience. Minimum of five (5) years of distribution center operations experience. At least five (5) years of relevant warehouse or logistics experience. Experience supervising teams of 15 or more employees. Lean Manufacturing experience highly preferred. Experience within the natural stone, tile, flooring, or related building materials industry preferred. Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
